About us
Our Cars

Our organization name is Diamond Tread Chapter, Model A Ford Club of America.

Thank you for visiting our Internet site.

Greetings and welcome to our site.  We hope that you and yours are staying safe and healthy!
Welcome to the new normal!  It was not that long ago that when I saw someone wearing a mask that I either thought 1) that person must be susceptible to air born illness  2) they were sick and careful not to spread their condition.  Now if I see someone WITHOUT a mask I wonder why they are not taking their own and everyone else's safety into consideration.  The Mayo Clinic states that asking everyone to wear cloth masks can help reduce the spread of COVID-19 by people who have the disease but don't realize it. And countries that required face masks, testing, isolation and social distancing early in the pandemic seem to have had some success slowing the disease's spread.
Some may wonder what does the COVID-19 virus have to do with Model A's... well even MAFCA is announcing the cancellation of events due to the unknowns surrounding the COVID-19 pandemic, risks of air travel, and health of their members.   In fact MAFCA noted that the post office was running a little slow during the corona slow down and there may be a little delay in distribution of the Restorer.
Everyone has a role to play.   So much of protecting yourself and your family comes down to common sense:
* Stay home except for essential needs/activities.
* Practice physical distancing – stay 6 feet away from people.
* Wear a cloth face mask if you leave home.
* Wash hands with soap and water for at least 20 seconds.
* Clean and disinfect frequently touched surfaces daily. If surfaces are dirty, clean them using detergent or soap and water prior to disinfection.
* Avoid touching eyes, nose or mouth.
* Cover your cough or sneeze with a tissue or your elbow or a tissue. Wash hands afterwards.

We care about you and want to see you on the road again soon!  Keep your distance and Stay Safe!

We recently heard some updates from an old member, Eleanor Flores. Personally I was saddened to hear the Richard Flores passed away in 2017.  Their Model A Woody is still in the family and Eleanor said don't be surprised if one of her sons drops in for a visit when the meetings resume.  There was also an interest in some Henry's Helpers assistance.
Please take a look at the June newsletter for details on: Cancellation of club activities until further notice (see the Dates/Events page), some club members have ventured out to participate in tours with other clubs, coping with Covid-19 advice, What's Happening section (lots of updates there!) and some jokes to brighten your day.
If you are a club member that would like their car posted in the "Our Cars" section, please send a jpg file to WebMaster@diamondtread.com.  Accompany that picture with year and model style.  If you have any comments or corrections, please also forward those to WebMaster@diamondtread.com

The Diamond Tread Newsletter is sent electronically in a .pdf format, to everyone that wants a copy.  If you are interested, please send your name and eMail address where the pdf can be sent to both the Editor and Webmaster entries below.  This will allow us to cross check that all requests have been satisfied.  Just to bring everything full circle, that eMail broadcast will have a link to the Diamond Tread Web Site.

Every club needs a little help and our advertisers help make it all happen.  Please patronize all of our advertisers.
