Our organization name is Diamond Tread Chapter, Model A Ford Club of America.

Thank you for visiting our Internet site.

Greetings and welcome to our site..

Record breaking heat!!!  Yes that is what we are experiencing these days... in fact I am starting to see a pattern here.  Reviewing recent opening comments I tend to mention our ever changing environment (that was said as politically correct as I could muster).  Sorry for the deviation from the topic of our Model A's.  On a positive note, driving an open car like our '31 Roadster makes the journey a bit more bearable.

I am sure most of you have had the positive experience of taking relatives out for a ride.  Our Grandson is a favorite co-pilot, as passion for a hand burger and riding in the Model A are about equal we frequently end up at In-n-Out Burger.  While the destination is always great it is the journey that makes it all worth the effort of getting the car out of the garage and driving without the air conditioner.  Here's to you getting your co-pilot(s) out on the road in your Model A.  Enjoy the great weather that is shared with us here in California, but be sure to take the sunscreen and plenty of water.

On the topic of heat...take a look at the President's message and the tips he has for maintaining your Model A.  I was pleased to read in the Meeting Minutes that the annual Picnic in the Park is still referenced as the Annual Kay Trail Picnic in the Park.  Read the always interesting story by LeRoy on their first MAFCA Convention.

The Diamond Tread Newsletter is sent electronically in a .pdf format, to everyone that wants a copy.  If you are interested, please send your name and eMail address where the pdf can be sent to both the Editor and Webmaster entries below.  This will allow us to cross check that all requests have been satisfied.  Just to bring everything full circle, that eMail broadcast will have a link to the Diamond Tread Web Site.

Every club needs a little help and our advertisers help make it all happen.  Please patronize all of our advertisers.

Look forward to seeing you at the next meeting... happy driving.
