Our organization name is Diamond Tread Chapter, Model A Ford Club of America.
Thank you for visiting our Internet site.
Greetings and welcome to our
site. This is Diamond Tread's 50th year as a club (officially on March
to August, one of the months that most of us hate because of the heat. However, it is also the month when the most Cantalope/Sweet
Corn/Tomatoes are grown, we required by law to take it easy (National Lazy Day
is 8/10 and National Relaxation Day is 8/15), the best prices on Back To School
items can be found, most popular Birth Month (Decembers are cold you know) and more
stars (Perseid Meteor Shower 8/11 and 8/12 is expected to have twice as many
shooting stars this year).
check out the August newsletter for details on: The success that the club had
in representing Diamond Tread at the Model T Club of Long Beach's swap meet,
upcoming tour to Carlsbad, Bucket List goals of Luke Sayer and repeated notices about the August General Meetings
(NOT held at Gallatin Elementry). You
will also see new member Arthur Babigian's 1929 Chrysler Royal 70 in the news
letter - Arthur also has a 1930 Model A Phaeton (not pictured). Please don't miss the story about the Big Ugly.
If you are a club member that would like their car posted in the "Our
Cars" section, please send a jpg file to WebMaster@diamondtread.com.
Accompany that picture with year and model style. If you have any
comments or corrections, please also those to WebMaster@diamondtread.com
The Diamond Tread Newsletter is sent electronically in a .pdf format, to everyone that wants a copy. If you are interested, please send your name and eMail address where the pdf can be sent to both the Editor and Webmaster entries below. This will allow us to cross check that all requests have been satisfied. Just to bring everything full circle, that eMail broadcast will have a link to the Diamond Tread Web Site.
Every club needs a little help and our advertisers help make it all happen. Please patronize all of our advertisers.
Look forward to seeing you at the next meeting... happy driving.
